I enjoy Silence...

I was promoting the website around the internet and suddenly I got this message:
“(…) I’m not really lonely; I just enjoy my quiet time, the silence (…)
Then I started thinking and I came up with the conclusion that Loneliness is really powerful. It enters in our life and we don’t even realize that. For example this people (there were some others that answered the same) argued that they are not lonely but they enjoy the silence… a quiet time. The “tone” of the answer or what they were implying was something like: “Loneliness, me? Hell no, I have a lot of people in my life and care about me… etc…
I just wonder: why do they enjoy the silence? The only answer I could came up with was that maybe after a long day at school or at work… after fighting and trying to keep up with the speed of the modern life… they just want to sit down and enjoy some moments of silence… I’ve been there… and it is not like they are enjoying the lack of sound… they are enjoying loneliness…
When someone says “I enjoy the silence or I just want some quite time” they are implying: “I JUST WANT TO BE ALONE, I ENJOY THE LONELINESS”… they don’t know it… but that’s the way it is.
In the silence you are alone; you are having an interior conversation with yourself, with your thoughts. You are thinking what went right and wrong in that day, or what would you like to do the next day.
You enjoy that silence because in the loneliness you don’t have to pretend to fulfill other people expectations or say what you are not thinking. You enjoy that “silence” because you are alone! Being yourself, knowing that no one will judge you and you can think everything you want… that’s the relationship between silence and loneliness… that lead you to the Absolute freedom.
So maybe you don’t even know that you enjoy loneliness (or you don’t want to realize it because the society tells you that if you are lonely something is wrong with you)… BUT YOU DO!
