Über Freiheit!!! (Freedom)

It is almost impossible to think on the abstract concept of freedom without being influenced by our political ideologies. The democratic system is based on the people’s freedom (vox populi), of choosing their own authorities, while the opposite, the dictatorship, and its base on the categorical violation of that freedom.
The Constitutional Law (particular level of the human rights) as well as the Human Rights (general level on an International basis) count with different sort of freedoms that every and each one of the human being must enjoy all his life.
The main freedoms or rights, in the legal world are:
Freedom of transit – Faculty to go where ever you want within the limitations of the Penal Law (in case you commit a crime) and the Private International Law ( Visas, Passports, Migration)
Freedom of Association – Faculty to create commercial, or any kind of bounds with other people to achieve a non-illicit goal.
Freedom of thought – In this kind, we can add the freedom of speech, freedom to print anything and freedom of religion.
Freedom is (in theory) an innate faculty of the human being, that is, just because we are human, we have the right to enjoy that freedom.
In that past classification of freedoms available I think that the only one that is real and the one that agrees with the abstract concept of “freedom” is the freedom of thought. It is true that we can move and go wherever we want physically, but it is also true that there are certain limitations like not being able to cross the international frontiers when and how we want. When it comes to the freedom of doing whatever we want, we find that there are crimes and actions that, if you execute them you will get a punishment, that in most cases are privation of the freedom or in some places death.
So, if we find limitations to our freedom, could we really talk about absolute freedom?
It is quite clear that the question could open a sociological, political and even juridical debate in which the Theory of the State and the Theory of the Constitution (the bases of the juridical systems now days) structure the power of the Government (ius imperium) and the legal world to establish an order to live in peace among a community. It is true, without the law and the punishments we would live in anarchy. That’s the conclusion, but also… the conclusion must be that freedom, in its abstract concept and in this physical world does NOT exist.
But during all of our life we’ve been taught the ideals of Bolivar, Hidalgo, of the French Revolution, Gandhi and others that fight and die for the pursuit of freedom, but once again, that freedom is just a tendency with political strings.
Personally, we are bombard since our infancy by the publicity, advertising, and merchandising in the context of a globalized world that influence the formation of our personality. Or maybe, it influence the form in which we act or perform in society, this means that all of that information in addition to the circumstances in which we grow into delimitate the way we are going to relate and connect to people… so, with all this factors that modify our personality, it wouldn’t be correct to say “I am the way am”, the right thing to say would be “I am the way they made me”. The freedom to create the personality that we will use in the society, to communicate and relate to the others is a fallacy.
But…where is the freedom?, does it really exist?
The answer to that question will depend on each person, the way I think, freedom (that absolute and abstract freedom in which we are and we do what we want, whenever we want and without any kind of limitations) exists ONLY in our mind, in our thoughts, but not in a general sense, like at any time. We can only find the true freedom in the presence of the LONELINESS.
Loneliness is the door that let the absolute freedom come in our minds.
Who could possibly deny that we live in two worlds, a physic one and the one that exists in our thoughts? A lot of times we think one thing, but in order to fulfill the expectations of the society or the one from the pre-establish order we act in some other way.
But that does not happened in our loneliness, within our minds, where we can do, with the help of the imagination, everything we want to, that is where nobody judges us and we can be the way we really want, it is there and only in there where I can say “I am the way I am”, and its true.
It is clear to me and a reality that freedom… ONLY exists in the absolute sense (which should be the only one) in our mind, in our thoughts… in our imagination.
