Einstein, Relativity and Loneliness...

The story of the Einstein, the men that went from a student with low grades who couldn’t get a job after graduation to the men that launched a revolution in the world, is well known for most of us, evidently because he became one of the most important people in the history of mankind. But what is his relation with loneliness?
After learning that he was rejected in every work that he applied to (in his field: physics) after finishing school he decided to go to Bern, Switzerland and take a position as patent clerk, second class. In those days, he felt like such a looser, to the point that one time he wrote to his family that he wished he have never been born.
But it was that non intellectual challenging job that gave him ample time to contemplate the universe. It was until 1905, when he was 26 years old that the revolution began. In that year, the so called “Einstein miracle year” was a remarkable year in the word of physics because of the 5 visionary papers that Einstein submitted to “der annalen de Physic”:
The theory of relativity only applies to one case: a Object moving in one direction on a constant speed. It would fail if there is some acceleration, and everything accelerates in the universe. Therefore Einstein tries to take his theory one step further... into a GENERAL Theory of Relativity:
At the begining people confuse the General Theory of Relativity with science fiction, because it cant be proved. But einstein thought about an experiment. The theory predicted that the space is curved by big objects such as stars and planes, so he realized that if a beam of light come near one of those objects, the light will bend also. So What could be big enough to see that bending of light... the SUN in a solar Eclipse. During WW1 Germany was a Ennemy of England, and yet it was Eddington, a English astronomer that proved by doing astronimical observations a German Theoretical Physicist.
Einstein became a celebrity and one of the greatest figures in the history of men kind. But in those days, the press and some scientist said that Eddington results were wrong, they said that General Relativity was wrong. So there we a lot of teams prepared to redo the test in order to prove wrong or right Einstein. There were 5 expeditions, and the one from USA, the one from Campbell got amazing results and vindicate Einstein once and for all.
This is the best example of what the intelect, and the loneliness could do for the human kind. Einsteins concentration was amazing. When he was alone, thinking about physics, ecuations and stuff, no one else existed just he and the formulas. It took just one genious in his loneliness to change the history of the world. Without him we wouldnt be able to talk about global comunication, mass media, the universe, quantum Physics, globalization, Internet... etc...
